Ballz hasn’t been updated for a long time, but i just had to do a post on Michael Jackson….I’m not sure why as i’m at a loss for words and am having a hard time still believing the fact that he’s gone. For as long as this site has been up…it’s been dedicated to music and pop stars, but now that the king is no longer with us our love for music has gotten a little less.
It just seems so unfair that someone with his talent has been taken away when honestly I could think of a few names I would have happily sacrificed if it meant having him with us a little longer! Regardless of what people think of him or his life, you know you rocked out to at least one MJ song. Many of my childhood memories surrounded the music i grew up hearing and no one made it higher on my list than Michael Jackson.
Thank you Michael for the music, the inspiration and the happiness you brought to so many lives. At last you have peace, may you continue to dance in heaven.

Madonna has sparked another controversy by including Republican presidential hopeful John McCain in a video montage shown on her new tour that includes Adolf Hitler and Robert Mugabe.
“It’s a disappointing and vulgar attack on John McCain, who has devoted his life to the cause of freedom and the fight against tyranny,” McCain spokesperson Taylor Griffin says.
“But, it’s not surprising that Barack Obama and his fellow celebrities stick together,” he adds.
The montage is shown as Madonna performs the song “Get Stupid” on her “Sticky & Sweet” tour. Images of McCain, Hitler and Mugabe appear among shots depicting destruction and global warming until the song ends, when images of John Lennon, Al Gore, Mahatma Gandhi and Obama are shown.
Madonna kicked off her tour in front of 40,000 people Saturday night at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium in Wales (see pics below).

How will American Idol judge Paula Abdul take a new female talent on the Fox reality TV show? A report on Monday notes that Kara DioGuardi has been added as a fourth judge on the very popular show. Will it be a catfight between Paula Abdul and Kara DioGuardi? One can only hope as it would certainly be better than listening to Abdul babble on after each contestant.
According to a report from Us Weekly Magazine, Abdul was on the air this morning in Phoenix on radio station 104.7 KISS FM on the Johnjay & Rich radio show and she said she said she was excited but added, “I am concerned about the audience and acceptance. Time will tell. We’ll see.”
Is she kidding? For many viewers of the show, as it stands with the current three-judge panel, Paula Abdul is looked upon by many as the running joke of the show. She fires off ‘off the wall’ comments at times that make no sense and even fellow judge Simon Cowell mocks her live on the air.
Us Weekly magazine reports that when she was asked if she, Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell have sat down with DioGuardi to test their chemistry, Abdul replied, “Nope,” and laughed. What happens if she and Jackson vote one way, but DioGuardi feels differently?

It’s a rock band in the making: Gwen Stefani and her rocker husband Gavin Rossdale welcomed their second child, a son, on Thursday in Los Angeles.
Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale was born at 12:46 p.m. and weighed 8 1/2 lbs. He joins the couple’s other son Kingston, who turned 2 in May.
