Joe Simpson doesn’t like the way his two daughters are portrayed in the media and has decided to take matters into his own hands. The former preacher turned Pimp Daddy (as some like to call him) has signed a deal with the popular photo agency Wireimages and is said to be taking on the part time job of paparazzo. Joe will only approve photo’s he’s taken which will then be distributed via the photo agency.
Obviously, this is ticking off other photographers who usually bank off the Simpson sisters. One recalled being invited to cover an event sponsored by Jessica’s record label, Epic, only to find her shots blocked again and again by Joe and his Nikon.
“I thought it was really odd that he was always in my way, since I was the one who was paid to be there shooting,” she says. Radar online reports that the freelancer did manage to get some clean shots, but Joe’s were the only ones WireImage deemed worthy of being distributed.

Meanwhile Reverend Bob Harrington has slammed Joe for encouraging his girls to use sex to sell their music.
Harrington fumed to Australia’s New Weekly magazine: “Their father has replaced his faith in the Lord with the love of money, which is the root of all evil. He has replaced holiness with horniness.
“Jessica and Ashlee will reap the dismal crops they are sowing. Their breasts will sag and their faces will wither and they will be left with nothing but a hollow shell.”
He added: “They don’t represent American standards and certainly not Christian standards.”

During an interview with a gay publication called Homo Xtra, Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas discussed her new song ‘Pedestal,’ which is aimed at “Internet haters.â€
“I just think, ‘Wow, I’ve worked so hard for this, but what are you doing other than sitting there behind your computers and talking s**t about people?’ If people don’t like me, fine, but don’t dis people if you’re not getting off your ass and doing something about your own life.â€

LeToya Luckett, a former Destiny’s Child member, reveals to The Sun how tough it was for her knowing she was no longer a part of the group. LeToya had only learned she had been booted out when she saw the video for ‘Say My Name’ on TV without her in it. Although LeToya has made an impressive comeback with her debut single Torn, she recalls she was sad because not only had Beyonce and Kelly been her bandmates, they’d also been her close friends since school.
“None of the girls called me after I left the group. What I missed most was the friendship Beyonce, Kelly and I had,” she said. “We had met in elementary school so the hardest thing was getting over birthdays and Christmases without them. I did call Beyonce on the New Year’s Eve of the new millennium. I told her I missed her, that I loved her and that it was a hard time. She called me three days later and told me things were over with the group and they were all going solo. But then there was another Destiny’s Child album after that so I don’t know what happened.”

Two years ago Elton John started a feud with fellow British pop star George Michael by telling reporters that he (George) was in a “strange place” and wasting his talent by staying away from the spotlight. George shortly said that because of Elton’s comments the media attention on him became unbearable.
Elton told an ITV host, Michael Parkinson, that they were fine and back to normal. He said: “George and I are fine. He came and stayed down my house last year. We’re fine.”
Putting an end to his public spat, John said “I’d rather keep my mouth shut … It’s up to him what he does with his life really and I don’t really want to get into that anymore.”
