Marcheline Bertrand, actress and mother of Angelina Jolie, has died of cancer after a 7 and a half year battle.
Bertrand died Saturday afternoon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Angelina confirmed in a statement released today. Angelina, Brad Pitt and Angie’s older brother, James Haven, were at the hospital when she passed away.
A private funeral is being planned and instead of flowers, the family has asked for donations to the Women’s Cancer Research Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Angie and the entire family.

Paris had the ”girls” falling out, which left people wondering if this once upon a time flat chested starlet, has joined the boob-job bandwagon or if she’s finally discovered the magic of a heavily padded wonderbra. Remember Mandy Moore? Well, if you don’t she’s about to refresh your memory! The once famous ‘Candy’ popstar/actress has got her hands full this year with a new album coming out and a film that’s already creating headlines.
The young actress is all smiles now and has a lot to celebrate. She’s got a new boyfriend (even if it means it’s DJ AM) and her movie Dedication has been picked up by The Weinstein Co. at Sundance.
But it’s not always fun and laughter for Mandy. She recently revealed to Jane Magazine that she sometimes suffers from mild depression. ”A few months ago I felt really low, really sad - depressed for no reason” she says. ”I’m a very positive person, and I’ve always been glass-half-full. So it was like someone flipped a switch on me.”
Despite all her money and quiet a successful career, she says, ”I’ve been going through this really crazy time in my life. I’m asking myself life-altering questions, like ‘Who am I? Where do I fit in this world? What am I doing? What do I want to do? Am I living to my full potential?”’

It was no secret that certain people blamed K-Fed (now Fed-Ex) for Britney’s fall from pop glory. But Kevin can’t be blamed for Britney’s latest antics, and so people seem to be changing their opinion on PopoZÃo. Britney’s estranged husband’s popularity is only increasing while Britney’s fans are starting to lose faith in her.
According to media reports, Britney had her people contact NFL Network for the Super Bowl ad only to be turned down. But, Kevin on the other hand was offered the Super Bowl ad for Nationwide Insurance. In the ad he proves he has a sense of humor by poking fun at himself. He appears in what looks like a slick rap video featuring the girls-and-money cliche, only to be snapped back to reality: He’s actually daydreaming!
Kevin is also playing the role of responsible parent and urging Britney to get into rehab. K-Fed even teamed up with his former nemesis, Britney’s mother Lynne, in an effort to convince the Toxic singer to get help. ”He’s afraid she’s going to hurt herself” says a source.

Jessica Simpson and her ”friend” John Mayer were spotted getting lovey- dovey in Miami. The two worked up a sweat (get your mind out of the gutter!) taking a YOGA class and then later enjoyed a romantic dinner at the Shore Club’s Nobu restaurant. “They looked really cute together,” says one witness. “They were talking and laughing the whole time. She was constantly fixing herself to make sure she looked her best for him.” The lovebirds (not half as cute as NickNessa!) sat and talked for more than two hours over sushi and bottled water.
