Tijdens een recente reis aan Trindad, Akon razend gemaakte ventilators en publieksleden toen hij een 14 jaar - oud meisje op stadium bedroog en praktisch haar lastig viel aangezien sommige publieksleden cheered. Rapper en de echtgenoot aan drie vrouwen, vertelden het publiek dat hij een „wedstrijd“ met de winnaar hield die een reis krijgt aan Afrika.

Hij beweerde dat hij reeds een wedstrijd in Londen en Atlanta had gehouden, maar Trinidad ging zijn favoriet zijn. Akon die erin om is geslaagd om zeven meisjesonstage te krijgen, en te concurreren moesten zij als hoochies dansen. Onder hen was Deena, een 14 jaar - oude preachers dochter (stelde in rood voor) die als a werd behandeld lifeless ragdoll door de ster die haar lichaam rond het stadium zonder achting gooide.

Na het hebben van zijn „manier“ met de tieners, Akon kondigde aan de wedstrijd vals was.

Geschokt door het incident, haar vader, Pastor Dave Alleyne zegt zijn dochter, die altijd door pop sterren onschuldig is „aan de slechte manieren van de wereld.“ is gefascineerd

Spears van Britney`vader, Jamie, kritiseert openlijk zijn dochter, zeggend heeft zij te beschuldigen niemand maar zelf als zij bewaring van haar twee zonen verliest EN haar carrière ruïneert (wij zijn bang dat het schip reeds gevaren=heeft=.) In een gewaagde verklaring aan Pagina Zes, verdedigt Jamie de manager van Britney Larry Rudolph, die zij naar verluidt vorige vrijdag in brand stak.

„Toen Larry Rudolph Britney in het gaan in rehab sprak, deed hij wat haar moeder, vader en team van beroeps met meer dan 100 jaar van ervaring gemoeten worden gedaan wist,“ Jamie schrijft. „Zij was onbeheerst. Larry was verkozen door het team om zijn kokers op te stropen en het bericht te leveren, om sparen haar leven te helpen.

De „Spears familie zou zich openbaar aan Larry voor de verklaringen van onze dochter willen verontschuldigen over hem in de loop van de afgelopen weken. Jammer genoeg, beschuldigt zij hem en haar familie van waar zij bij vandaag met haar jonge geitjes en carrière is. Larry has always been there for Britney. For this, we will forever be grateful to him.”

Britney’s quick response:

“I am praying for my father. We have never had a good relationship. It’s sad that all the men that have been in my life do not know how to accept a real woman’s love. I am concentrating on my work and my life right now.”

Ashlee Simpson is (somehow) on the rise.

In the last year, the 22-year-old Ashlee Simpson girlified her look, got a nose job, had a successful run as Roxie Hart in Chicago, and went from America’s Backup Simpson to Favorite Simpson.

In the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the quote-unquote singer, whose third album is coming out this fall, finally addresses the nose job and plastic surgery rumors, as well as the criticism that she’s copping Jessica’s style, and also dispenses advice for troubled stars like Britney Spears. Here are some of the excerpts.

On her Saturday Night Live fiasco:
“I’m definitely okay with my awkward moments. I’m one of those people who gets knocked down, and it won’t stop me. You kind of learn to be a fighter - but, truly, in my heart, I don’t feel like I have anything to prove to anyone.”

On changing her look and her rumored plastic surgery:
“I loved how I looked. I’m not an insecure person, nor was I before. It’s a personal choice. I believe if somebody chooses to do plastic surgery, it [should be] for yourself. No one else.”

On criticism she’s trying to look more like Jessica Simpson:
“Of course I look like her. She’s my sister. It’s like, God, please! We think it’s quite funny.”

On criticism that her father, Joe Simpson, is an inappropriate stage dad:
“People have the wrong perception of him, because he is a wonderful man. He would never hurt a fly.”

Sanjaya Malakar, probably the most controversial singer in American Idol’s history, was finally ousted on Wednesday night’s elimination episode.

The 17-year-old from Washington state probably knew his fate was sealed going into the show’s final 20 minutes: By then, Ryan Seacrest had announced his name as one of a bottom three that would have been unthinkable only the night before. The other two were the far, far superior LaKisha Jones and Blake Lewis. Simon Cowell, who never tried to conceal his annoyance at Sanjaya’s endurance despite pitchiness and a series of lackluster performances, all but licked his chops as he said, “I’m beginning to sense something here.”

When his name was called, Sanjaya cried, but his departure was dignified. His time on the show, as everyone knows, was not.

Outside the audition room that earned him a ticket to Hollywood, his vocals proved unstable, unreliable and, to many, downright unlistenable. But he was telegenic in ways that the judges consistently underestimated; had a sense of style that was misguided and over-the-top but somehow also forgivably puppyish; and was good-natured about being treated by the judges as a kind of monstrosity, a sort of singing teen Elephant Man. Was the anti-American Idol brigade what kept voting him in week after week? No, I think it was the pro-Sanjaya vote.
