Lisa Marie Has Us All Shook Up

December 07, 07 by Ballz!

The Presley women had heads turning (not for the right reasons) at the benefit for the Food Bank in NYC last night. Priscilla looked somewhat O.K from a distance while an unkempt Lisa seemed to be in desperate need of shampoo and a good nap.

Lisa Marie Tears Up As She Remembers Her Father

August 15, 07 by Ballz!

Lisa Marie and Elvis Presley

Lisa Marie Presley broke down in tears when she first heard her voice added to her father’s original 1969 recording of “In The Ghetto“.

“We had two hours to lay down my vocals,” she says about recording the song to honor the 30th anniversary of the legendary singer’s death.. “So the next morning, I heard the rough … and … I’ve never cried when I’ve done anything … ever … but I just lost it when I heard it.”

She continues, “People have been asking me to do another duet with him forever, but I had to do my own thing before I went back there,” Presley, 39, told USA Today. “So I was ready. I just had to figure out what would be right. And suddenly it came to me, all at the eleventh hour.”

Lisa did a similar project for the 20th anniversary of her father’s death, but “Don’t Cry Daddy” was never released commercially.

An accompanying music video, which features images of both father and daughter, will be posted on Spinner.com on Friday (17.08.07).

The song will also be available on iTunes. Proceeds will benefit the New Orleans branch of Presley Place, a transitional housing facility for homeless families.
