Fergie, the only Black Eyed Pea anyone cares about, fires back at critics who don’t think she has much of a voice.

“I may not have the type of voice you like, but I can sing, the Fergalicious singer told Vibe. “You can’t take that away from me, ’cause singing is a gift from God, and when people say I can’t sing, it’s kind of like insulting God.“

“I’m a big flirt, but I don’t give it away everytime I want to. I guess I’m a tease.”

During an interview with a gay publication called Homo Xtra, Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas discussed her new song ‘Pedestal,’  which is aimed at “Internet haters.”

“I just think, ‘Wow, I’ve worked so hard for this, but what are you doing other than sitting there behind your computers and talking s**t about people?’ If people don’t like me, fine, but don’t dis people if you’re not getting off your ass and doing something about your own life.”

Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie is riding high with the success of her solo album “The Duchess“; however, things weren’t always so easy in the past. Fergie reveals to Time magazine about a time in her life when she was addicted to crystal meth.

“It was the hardest boyfriend I ever had to break up with,” she says. “I dug deep as to why I got there. It’s the drug that’s addicting. But it’s why you start doing it in the first place that’s interesting. A lot of it was being a child actor; I learned to suppress feelings.”

These days, performing is her outlet for those feelings. “We’re on tour,” she says. “I have an hour and a half of performing every night and improvising. If there’s a rafter, I can climb right on.”
