Late Thursday night sh*t went DOWN at Britney Spears‘ Beverly Hills mansion (she had given a deposition with Kevin Federline’s lawyers earlier in the day). After refusing to turn over her kids to K-Fed’s bodyguard at the scheduled pick up time of 7PM PST, his lawyer and the police were called to the scene.
Brit locked herself in a room with Jayden, hours passed, fire trucks and ambulances arrived, and at 11:45 PM Britney was removed from her home on a gurney and taken to the Cedars-Sinai hospital in a police-escorted ambulance.
According to a source the pop star’s court-appointed child monitor called police. “She had already put Preston in the car when Britney locked herself in a room with Jayden,” says the source.
Cops revealed that they believed that Britney was “under the influence of an unknown substance.”Her youngest son Jayden was also taken to the hospital but has been released, and both boys are now in the safe arms of their stable backup-dancer dad.
Meanwhile, Britney remains at the hospital where she is allegedly a “special needs” patient, explained a source, meaning that “they have either overdosed or tried to commit suicide. So we go stay with these patients and monitor them constantly. We watch them so they don’t hurt themselves…”

Paris Hilton has done it. Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie both (barely) did it. And then there’s Michelle Rodriguez, Kiefer Sutherland… Heck, this year it seems like just about every celebrity has spent a little time in the gray-bar hotel. And if Britney Spears continues her past behaviour in her ongoing custody dispute, sources tell OK! she may very well end up spending some time in lockdown herself.
According to the mag Britney is scheduled next week to be deposed by K-Fed’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan. However, as the 25-year-old mother of two has blown off over a half-dozen previously scheduled attempts at being deposed — including two depositions ordered by the court! — many insiders are convinced that she will be a no-show for this one as well. But considering the potentially dire consequences for Brit, she might want to think twice before oversleeping or calling in sick next week.
“She could go to jail for contempt of court if she refuses to show,” one legal eagle confirms to OK!. “That would be extreme for a child custody hearing, but not outside the realm of possibility.” More likely, explains the courtroom insider, K-Fed’s team could ask the court to impose monetary sanctions on Britney, who is already footing the bill for Kevin’s legal expenses!
As things stand right now, barring any more emergency hearings, lawyers for Britney and Kevin are not due back in court until February, with the final custody hearing expected to start April 9.

After partying until the wee hours of the morning, Kevin Federline was seen speeding off in a yellow Lamborghini on Sunday. But before you accuse him of being after Britney’s money, perhaps you should know that the car doesn’t belong to him but a friend. Isn’t it funny though how Brit’s only pals are money hungry parasites while Kev is surrounded by those with posh cars! May be he isn’t that bad to hang out with after all!
In fact, KFed was especially called in for a Christmas party for ‘Bloc’, a talent agency for dancers and choreographers. He spent the night downing shots of Petron at the bar and playing shuffle board and pool. Again before you trash him, keep in mind that the single dad is not out that often anymore, so he’s certainly “allowed” to cut loose!

While Britney is on various tabloid covers under unflattering titles, Kevin Federline has landed the cover of Details magazine as he is named as one of the mag’s picks of the 50 Most Influential Men under 45.
Looking sexy with his new haircut, Britney Spears’s ex-hubby shares the spot with former Anna Nicole Smith beau Larry Birkhead – under the title “The Good Fathers” – as the publication declares, “By being more visible presences in their children’s lives than many Hollywood A-listers, they emerged as unlikely candidates for Dad of Year. He (Kevin) trucks the kids to the supermarket, decorates their bedrooms, and even lets them dictate the direction of his career. ”
“I’d actually like to play somebody other than a bad guy or an ass,” says Federline, who’s made some forays into acting recently. Recently awarded sole custody of Sean-P and JJ he adds: “My TVs are pretty much G-rated right now. Anything from “SpongeBob” to “Finding Nemo,” and you know, I’m still trying to decide which one I like more.”
