El EL Cantante es la dramático-biografía del pionero del salsa de Puerto Rican Matón Lavoe.
La película sigue la relación apasionada de Lavoe (Anthony) con Puchi (Lopez) y su cohete a la fama internacional. Pero aun cuando él lo tiene todo, Lavoe no puede escapar el encanto de drogas y de su dolor personal.

According to sources, her steamy scenes with LL Cool J on of the set of the rapper’s promo for ‘Control Myself’, left Marc fuming at the mouth.
A source says, “he stormed off in a rage after seeing the pair get up close and personal.”
LL Cool J, admits that he and J.Lo did have a lot of sexual chemistry. He says, “We had a lot going on. So when Jen’s husband came on set - he was only there for a minute before he left again.”
