Former Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham surprised her man David Beckham by whisking him away to England to celebrate one more year of not dying! Fellow Spice Girls, Mel B, Emma and Geri were on hand to spice up David’s 32nd birthday. While the former Scary Spice put on a brave face as she arrived at the party, she ended the night in tears over her bitter paternity battle with Eddie Murphy.

Her unlikely saviour came in the shape of Beckham’s sister Joanne, who spent the evening trying to comfort her. According to a source: “Joanne was shouting, “No man is worth it Mel,” and Mel was flinging her arms around wildly. She eventually seemed to cheer up and get over the shocking outburst.”

The source adds: “It was Mel’s first night out clubbing since the baby was born and she became incredibly emotional. She started drinking champagne and burst into tears at one point, gesticulating and burying her head in her hands.”

Mel, who gave birth to daughter Angel a month ago, has revealed she plans to take Eddie to court to prove he is the father of her newborn.

She told People: “He’s not doing a DNA test and he’s not signing the birth certificate. So it’s going to have to go to court so he can be forced to do it, which is strange since he was the one asking for it.”

Gracing the cover of OK magazine which reads “Eddie Murphy meet your baby,” mom of two, Mel B is making it clear that she will not be letting possible babydaddy Eddie Murphy off the hook. Not only has she officially named her baby girl Angel Iris Murphy Brown (original reports of the name Fortuna were thankfully false) but she also sends a message out to Eddie: “Step up to the plate and be responsible. I have no doubt that this is Eddie’s baby.”

But contrary to what one might expect, Mel B has nothing against Eddie:

“The minute we met, the attraction was instant, we were just like a couple of kids together. We were so in love and the whole thing was just beautiful. (On our first date) within half an hour we were holding hands. We were just each other’s soulmates.

“After three days we both got tattoos. I had his name in his handwriting on me and he had my name in his handwriting on him. It was intense and felt that right. We were just inseparable. It wasn’t a whirlwind romance. I fell so in love with him. I will always love him, there is no question about it.”

Scary Spice aka Melanie Brown welcomed a baby girl just after midnight today at Saint John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, CA.

“The baby is completely healthy with a good head of hair,” a rep for Mel said in a statement.

“Mother and baby are now resting. No name has been decided on as yet and she is purely known as Baby Brown.”

The paternity of the new baby, however, is still in question. Mel has time and time again said her ex-boyfriend, Eddie Murphy – who shares a birthday with the infant and turned 46 today – is the father, but he has questioned that claim.

This makes Britney’s harsh way of breaking up with Kevin via text look good! Eddie Murphy was recently on a Dutch entertainment show where he announced to the world that Mel B was dumped before even telling the pregnant Spice Girl. She was on a US flight when Eddie broke the news their relationship was over. Instead of finding out from him, she found out from worried pals when she landed. She says: “I”m shell-shocked by the whole thing. As far as I was concerned we hadn’t really broken up - we’d just had a bit of a row.”

Eddie made it very clear that he wants a paternity test, but Mel insists that he is the father of her child. She says: “There’s no question that Eddie is the father of my baby. I haven’t been with anyone else since Eddie.”

Murphy shamelessly showed up with Tracey Edmonds, the ex-wife of BabyFace on his arm at “Dreamgirls” premiere in NYC. Tracey clung on to her man the entire night and bragged about dating Eddie for “about a month and a half” which confirms rumors he was cheating.
