That was fast! After only six months of dating, Eddie Murphy and Melanie Brown – aka Scary Spice have called it quits. Eddie broke the news in an interview with a Dutch entertainment show while promoting his new film Dreamgirls. When asked about his relationship with the former Spice Girl, Eddie told the reporter that they were no longer together and says the baby she is carrying may not even be his. In fact, he wants a DNA testing to determine the child’s paternity.

When the reporter asked him if he was looking forward to being a father again, he snapped, “You’re being presumptuous,because we’re not together anymore. And I don’t know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn’t jump to conclusions, sir.”

Meanwhile, Mel is singing a different story, telling press on Sunday, “We’re in love and get on really well. All the children have met and get on too - it’s like a great big happy family. I can’t wait to spend Christmas with [Murphy] and I can’t wait to have this baby.”

But whats even more “unfunny” is that Mel B is expecting his 7th OR 8th child (may be twins!)!

Rumour has it; Mel, who has a 7-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, was at her favourite store and admitted the pregnancy had her feeling tired. Mel added that she was concerned she may be carrying twins since, she noted, they run in Murphy’s family.

While on her shopping spree, Melanie picked up nearly $5,000 worth of Eres lingerie for herself and about $300 worth of La Perla men’s undershirts and underwear for Eddie.

Heck, we would have dirtied our underwear too if Scary told us she was carrying our child!

Looks like poor Eddie is switching from funny movies to horrow…oops, I mean “scary” movies, one wonders whats going on in poor donkey’s head.

Maybe he should have taken 48hrs to think about it… and then another 48hrs if you get my drift

But then again, lucky number 7 may be the golden child!
