…we miss seeing them

Nick Lachey decided to do a little posting of his own the other day. In a move to “to stay closer to all [his] fans,” Nick, for the first time ever posted the following statement on his official site:

Hello everyone! I’ve never been one to be especially savvy on the computer, but I thought I’d give this whole “blogging” thing a try. I hope this can be a way for me to stay closer to all of my fans who have so faithfully supported me for so long. I promise you all that this will be written by me and only me and will hopefully give everyone a little more insight into not only my career, but who I am as well. Let me start by saying thank you. I know it’s said all the time and sometimes feels a little predictable, but I really do thank all of you. The support I received on the last album and tour was incredible and a real dream come true for me. That album was a very important project for me both personally and professionally and you all made it happen.

So, what have I been doing since? Well, I’m back in the studio again working on the next project. Every time you go into the studio, there is degree of uncertainty to it. I never know how things are going to go, what I’m going to feel like writing about, what kind of musical direction things will take, etc. so far, I am incredibly excited about where this next project is going. There is an energy to the writing right now which is truly awesome. I can’t wait for you all to hear it. I’m hoping to have a new single out by the end of the year and an album out by early 2008. It feels like that’s a long way off, but it’ll be here before you know it. I also want to apologize to those of you who were planning on coming to some of the concerts that were scheduled for this July. Unfortunately, the concert in New Jersey was cancelled and so we decided to postpone the others until the new CD is done. I know a lot of you came and saw the last tour and I want to give you all an even better show the next time around.

Anyway, it’s going to be a very exciting fall and I can’t wait to get it started! Hope to see you all very soon.

Just moments after the racy knife photos of Vanessa were released, the media were having a field day reporting trouble in Paradise for Nicknessa. But to everyone’s disappointment, Nick knew what he was getting into and his relationship with her has no end in sight it appears.

The truth is Nick’s friends attempted to warn him about her wild past, but he didn’t care then and he sure as hell doesn’t care now.

A friend of Vanessa’s says, “Vanessa used to be a completely crazy, wild girl. She’d be the girl that would jump on the tables at every nightclub. Nick knew when they got together that she had a party-girl past. But the past is the past.”

That looks like Vanessa Minnillo. Those comments were all over the web when photos of a knife-wielding Lindsay Lohan and an unidentified brunette engaging in bizarre and dangerous acts of knife play splashed online.

News of the World published the photos over the weekend and for about 36 hours it was unclear if that was just Vanessa’s twin or actually Vanessa in the photos. It is now confirmed that the woman pictured is indeed none other than Vanessa, who found herself the center of some unwanted attention on June 1 when these disturbing photos surfaced — taken in the predawn hours of June 16, 2006, in NYC.

Sources say that along with these pictures and a bad rep in the TV industry for her rumored diva-like behavior, Miss Vanessa is finding it hard to find a new job.

Now known as Nick’s main squeeze, Vanessa 26, was host of MTV’s “TRL” and New York correspondent for “Entertainment Tonight,” both Viacom shows, until her contract expired in April. But her tantrum throwing, scene causing and unreasonable demands are reportedly putting people off.

While friends of Vanessa insist it was she who decided not to renew the contract with “ET,” insiders say her bosses at CBS want nothing to do with her.

According to a source, “Vanessa wants to be a celebrity, not interview them. She wouldn’t conduct post-show interviews because she wanted to party. She expected to be paid a full-time salary for a part-time job.”
