Forgive us if we don’t sound too surprised, but Pink & Carey Hart have decided to pull the plug on their relationship - announcing plans to file for divorce after just two years of marriage. The singer’s publicist, Michele Schweitzer, confirmed the split by releasing the following statement: ”Pink and Carey Hart have separated. This decision was made by best friends with a huge amount of love and respect for one another. While the marriage is over, their friendship has never been stronger.”
Shortly after that, the punkstress blogged about the situation on her personal Web page:
Hi everybody. I wanted to reach out personally to all my fans/friends out there in the world. First and foremost, thank-you for all of your support and love, it means a lot to me right now. The most important thing for you all to know, is that Carey and I love each other so so much. This break up is not about cheating, anger, or fighting. I know it sounds like cliche bulls***, but we are best friends, and we will continue to be. All I know at this point, is that I want to make the best album I can, and Carey wants to do the best possible job he can with everything he has going on. He is a good man, so please support him as well. One never knows the future, but mine and Careys’ just might involve beach babies and sunshine one day. Just not right now. Nick Lachey has given his blessing to ex Jessica Simpson and her boyfriend Tony Romo.
“I wish her nothing but happiness,” says Nick. ”If she’s found that… good for her.”
Amid talk that Jess may be returning to the small screen with a CMT special, Nick understands her motives.
“I did a show a show around the making of my last record,” he says. “It was kind of a documentary that I did with MTV about making a record… that is an idea that I had and I thought it was a good one, so I can certainly see where she’s coming from with that.”
But Nick has ruled out a return to the reality genre that brought him and Jessica notoriety with MTV’s Newlyweds.
“Reality TV is not on my radar,” he said. “You learn lessons in life, and then you have a responsibility to yourself to learn from those lessons.”
When asked if he would consider a reality series with girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo, he responded, “No, no, no, no. Never. Never.”

After lying low for sometime, Britney resurfaced on Friday for a shopping spree in LA.
Meanwhile, as far as her legal matters are concerned, newly released court documents reveal that the trust where Britney Spears keeps most of her estimated $100 million fortune is out of her hands – and under the control of her brother and a lawyer. And for 30-year-old Bryan Spears, that means keeping tabs on everything from cash to pay for medicine to money for her Starbucks runs.
“This is nothing new,” says Bryan. “This was a decision made some time ago and signed off on by Britney, before she was married to Kevin, before she had kids. As with anyone with a large trust, trustees were named. This is nothing new.”

Avril Lavigne has supported her fellow singer Britney Spears by slamming the paparazzi snappers who “stalk” her.
The Canadian star has nothing but words of anger and derision for the press pack who chase Britney’s every move - because she’s experienced their dangerous ways for herself.
She tells Maxim magazine, “No one else has it as hard as Britney. I feel bad for her. How does she even think with all those flashbulbs?
“When I’m being followed, everything’s thrown off. They run red lights. They cause accidents.
“She can’t even walk to her car. F**king stalkers.”
